Miz D is an artist, advocate and entrepreneur from Vancouver, BC  and has been a Cannatherapy Consultant since 2004 following a 17 year career in the casino gaming industry, managing casinos both in Canada and internationally for Seabourn Cruise Line. An innovator, edutainer and pioneer in the cannabis industry, she is the CEO of Dvibz., her private family owned company specializing in luxury cannatourism and founder of The Cannatherapy Concept, Green Hat Society (est. 2010) and most recently, Canexions Networking Club.

What could be more intriguing than a new career in the cannabis industry? The chess game of politics and cannabis stakeholders keeps me constantly amused and hopeful. Canna Connecting and building relationship through sponsorship agreements, round table discussions, and industry engagement has been a rewarding challenge; so many great people in the Canadian Canna World!

Now I own and operate CannaBiz Social, a social media marketing company geared to alternative health, and green industries, AKA ancillary cannabis and hemp businesses. I’m also a former co-chair of Women Grow Edmonton, a principle organizer of the Alberta Cannabis Stakeholders group and current team member of the unstoppable CaneXions National and Edmonton Chapter teams.

Annaliese moved to Vancouver in 2014 from Ontario. She studied at the University of Guelph completing a BSc. and MSc. in the Plant Sciences, with a focus on medicinal and endangered plant species. Initially, she worked in cannabis research when the MMPR first came into effect. Combining her love of helping people and cannabis, she continues to work in the industry at Aurora Cannabis Inc. Her knowledge of the current legal, medical framework of the Canadian cannabis Industry, scientific background and project management development creates a unique combination to assist in establishing and expanding CaneXions National.

I was born in Montreal andI moved to Calgary almost 20 years ago. I’ve always been an artist.  My work has appeared in several magazines including "Where in Calgary", Style Canada, and the Calgary Herald Alberta Artist Series as well as in museum shops, art galleries and stores in Western Canada. In addition to being a multimedia artist, graphic designer and art facilitator, my passion is natural healing and holistic therapies.  I am a Certified Color and Crystal Therapist and Clinical Aromatherapist. I love teaching and the sharing process that goes with it! I’ve facilitated classes for the Cerebral Palsy Association in Alberta, the Calgary Women’s Centre, Parkinson Alberta, at varied retreats and in studio. I want my clients to feel healthier in mind, body and spirit however I may be working with them. I have long believed in the efficacy of cannabis as an effective proponent to a balanced lifestyle. My goal is to create a CaneXions Calgary community that is expansive, inclusive and informative. I’d love to see more people venture out to learn about the various benefits of cannabis in its many forms, meet others who share common experiences and connect with a warm and welcoming community.
